The old traditional method of advertising products was to advertise them through paid commercials in the media. However, in order to receive more brand recognition, these companies felt the need to use one of the old age methods of advertising “word of mouth” to spread the gospel about their new product. After all, if a company has the greatest product in the world and it just sits in the factory, the world won’t know about it and neither will the company make any money.
A lot of misconception has arisen in the past about the mlm industry and although network marketers viewed it as a way of earning residual income, it has received quite a lot of backlash over the years.

You can utilise a series of methods to source for leads such as broadcast advertising, direct mail, event or trade show, marketing, seminar /training, email marketing, telemarketing, business cards, the internet, etc. By far the most effective is having your own website where you can drive lots of traffic to.
